Just acquired a Swordsman from Ebay

After looking around for a considerable time for one of these, I have finally got one

Rather nicely built, but not sure if it was ever finished and sailed . Has no motor ,rudder, shaft at present and not sure if it ever had them. Needs repair to front of cabin and new roof. Rudder has a serrated bar in front of the hole for the blade , so looks like the builder intended it for free running.

originally thinking about installing a period glow motor, but think it will end up as electric powered as it is a bit kinder to old wood hulls. After that a general tidy and a coat of paint and it should be a nice fun runner
